A warm welcome back to all our old students, and a welcome greetings to the new ones. Through this weekly blog you will get an insight into Fawn A and regular updates on the activities done in class.
On the first day students arrived with mixed emotions. However, they settled into the new vibrant environment and engaged in a variety of activities.
During circle time each one introduced themselves to the other.The students learned how to mark their attendance. Essential agreements were discussed and students were familiarized with the different learning corners in the class like Reading corner, Play/ Role play corner, Creative corner and Reflection corner.

Students enjoyed the story sessions in the class wherein their communication skills and vocabulary were enhanced by listening to “Pepper has a fight” and “Pepper goes to school”.Students were also introduced to sound “a” through flash cards and real life objects.

Maths-
Students were introduced to number 1 and 2 using number cards and they understood association of quantity to numbers 1 and 2.

Outdoors-
Students visited the school garden and the fish pond. They were very excited to see the fish and to spot various butterflies, birds and squirrels in the garden.

Art and Craft-
Students were informed about Rakshabandhan and its significance. Later they were involved in making beautiful rakhis out of waste material.

Dance-
During Dance class, children did a combination of exercises like crawling, hopping, jumping to improve loco motor skills .

Music-
During Music class, students were introduced to a few musical instruments. They listened to rhymes, thereby enhancing their listening skills. They also learned Hindi rhyme “Incy wincy makdi ped pe chad gayi” and “Fruit salad song”.

Students were introduced to their new PE teacher and practiced fitness enhancing activities under her watchful eyes.

Motor Development-
To enhance their motor skills, students engaged in a wide range of activities in the class such as beading, pegging, threading, transferring with tongs, sorting shapes and solving various picture puzzles. They enjoyed transferring water with the help of sponge from one water tray to the other.
